Presented in partnership with the Ottawa Society of Botanical Artists (OSBA), Plant Portraits: Native Plants of Canada is an impressive collection of modern, botanical art. Through more than 30 original artworks - in watercolour, graphite, and mixed media - the exhibition examines our native plants as seen through the eyes of artists. Many of the plant subjects are from the Ottawa region - including the Fletcher Wildlife Garden - and as far away as British Columbia. The exhibition includes a commissioned sculpture from celebrated local sculptor Rosemary Breault-Landry, and will feature tours and workshops.Throughout the summer, a group of OSBA members will be venturing out to two of Ottawa's foremost urban gardens - the Ornamental Gardens at the Central Experimental Farm and the Civic Gardens at Lansdowne Park - to enjoy a morning of sketching. The public is welcome to attend and pose questions to the artists.. 901 Prince of Wales DriveOttawa, ON K2C 3K1.. Event Details. Location: 901 Prince of Wales Drive, Ottawa
