In celebration of the 150th anniversary since the confederation, Ottawa invited its sister city Beijing to share its rich cultural heritage that contributed to the making of Canada's diversity with Ottawa residents.The main features include the following:VR game will simulate sightseeing at major Beijing tourist attractions: The Great Wall of China, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven. Visitors can interact with multiple items related to each of the location with auditory aids that provide a historical and cultural background of the heritage sites. Users teleport from one location to another using a representative postcard that displays a symbol from each location.The interior architectural exhibit is a depiction of the Great Wall of China in a miniature scale, about 3 meters tall, 1.5 meters wide. The architectural display of the Great Wall of China will serve as a symbolic mascot of Beijing Tourism event, as well as the main photo zone where people can capture, share, and remember the core of the event.Face mask painting and costume of Chinese traditions will be entertaining the audience aside as a subsidiary source of engagement at Beijing Tourism. Visitors will be able to bring back a mask of their own design as a souvenir from the event.Free buffet-style lunch at noon will be provided to the visitors, as well as finger-food throughout the event. A wide variety of options from Chinese cuisine including vegetarian options will satisfy diverse palates of visitors.Music performances of Chinese traditional music with modern improvisation will take place on the stage throughout the event.
