Ottawa Grassroots Festival

April 20, 2017 to April 21, 2017Thursday: 7:00 pmFriday: 7:00 pm. The Ottawa Grassroots Festival is a unique four-day multi-disciplinary community-focused arts event that is run completely by volunteers. All daytime activities on Saturday and Sunday are free of charge to attend, with ticketed concerts being presented Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings. The festival's core values are inclusion and participation. A priority is placed on making the event accessible, family-friendly, participatory and culturally diverse. As part of the inclusion concept, the festival will once again have a Francophone night on Thursday night. However, the Francophone inclusion does not end there; there are also Francophone artists scattered among the free daytime performances. There is also a focus on Indigenous performers with six Indigenous artists performing during the concerts as well as during the free daytime sessions. There are also free workshops for children, including toddlers and babies. For the full program schedule and for tickets to the evening concerts, visit our website.. 15 Aylmer AvenueOttawa, ON K1S 3X1..
