CONCERT - FRANGLAISE

April 5, 2017 6:00 pm. "Franglaise" is a group formed by Seraphin LaRiviere and Lyn Tremblay, who sings a wide selection french and english classics celebrating the Quebec and Canadian music culture.Along with the songs, they discuss how the lyrics change in translation, and question why Quebec music has been sadly kept mostly to its own province, while anglo music has proliferated throughout the country. With a 5-octave vocal range that runs the gamult from tender to tempest, Serafin LaRiviere has cultivated a cross-genre audience that embraces Jazz, Torch and even Classical music. One must employ the word "Cabaret" with caution. Often thought of as Déjà Vu, "been there, done that, got the top hat", Lyne Tremblay comes to her cabaret repertoire following long service on the most prestigious stages of Europe, where the art form is taken seriously and the audience takes no prisoners.. 352 MacLaren StreetOttawa, ON K2P 0M6..
