CPAWS Fall Gala: Painted Land

November 2, 2016 7:00 pm. I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to join CPAWS Ottawa Valley and our special guests, Dave Hadfield and Gary and Joanie McGuffin, on November 2nd for an inspiring evening of art and music in support of wilderness conservation.The evening features a special screening of the award winning film Painted Land: In search of the Group of Seven with the McGuffins who will share their unique story and their passion for art and conservation. The iconic images of the Group of Seven inspired generations of conservationists and continue to resonate today – whether it is the Algoma Highlands or Algonquin Park – these landscapes belong to all Canadians and CPAWS is proud to be working to protect them. Following the film, CPAWS friend Dave Hadfield – wilderness lover, musician, adventurer and pilot will share some of his music and stories with us.
