RCMP Canadian Sunset Ceremonies - Canada 150 edition

June 23, 2017 to June 25, 2017Friday: 5:00 pmSaturday: 5:00 pmSunday: 5:00 pm. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) is pleased to host the Canadian Sunset Ceremonies June 23-25. The Sunset Ceremonies came about as a way to thank local residents and visitors to the National Capital Region (NCR) for their ongoing support of the RCMP.Pre-show activities begin at 5 pm, with the Musical Ride performing from 7 to 8:30 pm.Bus route 7 stops nearby. Free parking is available off Sir George Étienne-Cartier Parkway.The evening's entertainment also features: Equestrian Abilities Show, Mounted Arms Display, RCMP/Ottawa Police Service Pipes and Drums and Dancers, Central Band of the Canadian Forces, and "Our KIDS Zone".Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy the show! The grounds are wheelchair accessible. Food, beverages and souvenirs may be purchased on site.Boxes will be set up to collect donations for the RCMP Foundation. The Foundation provides funding to community initiatives across the country in support of Canadian youth.
